I’ve been talking about starting this blog for a while now, and here it finally is! My goal is to share some of the info I’ve gathered over the course of a disturbing amount of time (and $) thinking about and playing with makeup, with ladies who are dealing with the particular challenges of 30+skin…. and to do my small part to advocate for beauty that does not come with the expense of animal testing.
Be thrilled to hear from you, contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
I stick with products by independent companies that are cruelty free (to the best of my knowledge and investigating abilities). I.e., I do not buy from companies that are themselves cruelty-free but have parent companies that are not. This is absolutely a personal choice and we each decide what makes the most sense for ourselves. For more information on cruelty-free beauty practices and brands, here are a few of the helpful resources I’ve discovered:
- logicalharmony website
- mybeautybunny website
- Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics’ (CCIC) Leaping Bunny Program
- PETA animal testing lists
*These are only my opinions, formed through my personal experience as a consumer. I am not a medical doctor, an aesthetician, or a health/beauty professional. There is no guarantee what effect, positive or negative, these products may have on anyone else.
**All products were purchased by me from brands that, to the best of my knowledge, are cruelty-free.
