The Procrastinating Blogger Tag (sort of)

resting comfortably too
Maggie, procrastinating.

Well, dear readers, I have hit a bit of a bump in the blogging road.  This morning I was brimming with plans to post the complement to Monday’s post, cruelty-free sculpting for the contour-challenged…  Cruelty-free highlighting!  I even just finished snapping a bunch of photos for it.  Unfortunately, I am feeling a bit under the weather.  As such, the photos came out looking wretched and I simply do not have the heart to either a) subject you to them anyway or b) reshoot them all.

So, as I have seen this tag floating around the past few days, thank yous to beautyminatii and jaanethough 🙂 I have decided instead to dedicate this week’s Thursday post to the Procrastinating Blogger Tag (a.k.a. The Under-the-Weather Blogger Tag).  Any Bloggers out there, consider yourself tagged to do this when next you’re just not feeling up to the photo taking/editing/posting challenge.

1. Name a beauty regimen that you rarely do?

Blasphemous as this may seem these days, I put nary a product in my brows.

2. Is washing your make-up brushes something that you do regularly?

Hmmm, to post the actual answer or the right answer?  I do try to be good about giving my brushes a thorough cleaning.  I even wrote a whole blog post about it!  But, that only happens maybe once/month (eek).  I do, however, spritz them with ELF daily brush cleaner and then wipe them down on a napkin or paper towel pretty much on the daily before each use.

3. How long will you last with chipped nail polish?

Under 5 minutes.  Seriously, I can’t. As such, and in light of how quickly polish chips on my finger nails, I’ve virtually given up polishing them.  Sadly, this has meant putting the brakes on my purchasing of pretty polishes.

4. How long will you put off buying/replacing a beauty product, even if you need it?

Well, let’s put it this way.  I have a whole drawer of my makeup organizer full of nothing but backups of favorite products.

5. What is your worst beauty habit?

I’m a hair twirler.  This is something I’ve noticed that many of my curly-haired compatriots do.  But, I’m sure it’s not good for my hair.

6. Name something non-beauty related that you put off doing all the time?

Bed-making.  I’ve been putting that off since 1989.  I mean, really.  I simply don’t see the point.  My life is too short.

7. When going out somewhere, do you leave getting ready to the last minute?

Yes.  It’s bad.

8. Can you commit to spending bans?

I just had a beauty no-buy for Lent.  I did pretty well.  I did make a few purchases, due to sale opportunities, but I didn’t allow myself to open any of it until after Easter.

9. How organized are your make-up and nail polish collections?

Pretty well, actually.  I have a little(ish) rolling cart with lots of little drawers and I have my makeup organized by region of the face.  I also have an excel file in which I log all of my purchases.  It helps me keep track of what I have (i.e., don’t need to buy) and what I haven’t liked (i.e., don’t buy it again!).

Anyway, I hope you don’t mind that my last couple of posts have been on the wordier side.  Hope you’re all feeling well!
