Happy Cruelty-free Fourth of July!

So, I began my plans for this post thinking about putting together a nice, wearable, but festive look.  A little bit of navy liner, a pop of pearly white on the lid, and a nice red lip.  And, as you can see, my swatching turned out to be very patriotic 🇺🇸

But then, I got a little crazy. I thought this would be a good opportunity to try the spotlight halo look that I learned about from Sharon Farrell on YouTube.   It’s a lovely twist on the smoky eye.  I used the matte navy from my It Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Celebration Palette and the pop of shine in the middle is Makeup Geek’s High Wire Foiled Eyeshadow.  I’m not sure what’s going on with my brow though…

And then a little crazier…. I mean, I had the white and navy liners right there, and it seemed like another great opportunity to try (my twist) on a retro, Twiggy look.  I threw in a little Matt Malloy to really mattify my lid. Obviously, it’s been done better, but hey, at least I sprang for the mascara on my lower lashes 😉

And then, things got completely out of hand.  Yes, that’s right.  That’s red sparkle on my lips.  A wonderful use of Lit Cosmetics Heartbreaker (thank you to the lovely Lisa Eldridge for this idea). Though, if I end up going with this look tomorrow, I’ll do a bit better job of cleaning up around the edges 😳

Happy 4th!  Hope you have as much fun with your makeup as I will trying to decide which of these looks will carry the day 🎉🎇
