Cruelty-free #FOTD: A flush of pink!

Welcome to May 🙂

In honor of May, which I always think of as being rather pink, I decided to post a flush of pink look this week.  I was most certainly inspired by Lisa Eldridge’s recent East Meets West video on her YouTube channel, wherein she detailed some of the beauty trends popular in the East (primarily Korea and Japan) and the West (North America and Europe).

I decided to try my hand at some of the Eastern-inspired tips:

  1. Glowy eyes and skin
  2. Flush of color high on the cheeks
  3. Glossy lip

For the eye, I was going for a pink flush with extra brightness at the inner corner.  On the lid, I used the light pink shades,  Pink Pearl and Strawberry Bon Bon  from my Too Faced Star Dust and Chocolate Bar Palettes, and highlighted the inner corners with #Selfie and Champagne Truffle from the same palettes.

I pulled out all the stops on the skin front.  Used the glowiest foundation I have, my BECCA Aqua Luminous Foundation (in Fair), and then topped off my cheek bones with a liberal layer of BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal.

For the cheek and the lip, I went for my new Cate McNabb Chic Cheek and Lip Tint in Summer Lovin‘…
