As you may be able to tell from the title for this post, I was pretty happy when I saw the 2015 color of the year, courtesy of Pantone. It’s the first one in a few years now that I have a half decent chance of looking good in …
So… I searched my stash in hopes of finding a few good candidates and I’ve come up with five. 3 lip products, an eyeshadow, and a blush. Please excuse these clumsy, early photo attempts… I’m no photographer, clearly.
First up, the eyeshadow, Makeup Geek’s Country Girl, such a unique and pretty brown with pinky tones. I’m wearing it over Sigma’s eye shadow base in Pose, but it’s just as pretty on its own, especially with a bit of brown liner.
Next up, the blush, Ulta Cheek Color in Adore… no swatch, because it’s so dependent on how you apply. With a lighter hand, this can be a lovely Marsala, with a heavier one, it’s practically burgundy.
The first lip color on my list is thanks to the very first YouTube beauty vlogger I ever watched, emilynoel83, who suggested this one was a great Marsala color, and she was right! It’s the Too Faced La Creme Lipstick in Pink Chocolate.
The second lip color is from all vegan brand, Pacifica. It’s the Devotion Deeply Devoted Natural Lipstick in Natural Mystic.
And, last but not least, from Pur Minerals, the Lip Gloss Stick in Taunt.
I think wearing any of the lip products with the eyeshadow or the blush would make a great one-tone look, and wearing any of the lip products with the eyeshadow and the blush could be even better!
