Hi all,
It’s that time again! I’ve amassed another little collection of much used, much enjoyed (for the most part) products and thought I’d share my thoughts in case you’ve been wondering about them or looking for something new to try.
First up, my Dermalogica PreCleanse. How much do I ❤ this stuff, you might ask? Let’s just say I had 2 backups waiting in the wings for when I used up the current bottle.

This takes off all my makeup, including stubborn eyeliner, with nary a sting of my eyes. It also has this nice herby scent that makes it kind of a treat to use.
Next up, is the Yes to Tomatoes Daily Pore Scrub. My preferred method for post-PreCleanse cleansing. If this looks familiar, that’s because it’s been previously featured, in my very first Empties!

I ran out of this a while back and proceeded to try some other scrubs I’d stockpiled. As I’ve mentioned in the past, I ❤ that feeling of accomplishment when I’ve gotten out that last little bit of product, so it’s difficult for me to admit this, but, I ended up throwing them out so I could break out my new tube of this stuff. It has lots of little micro scrubbies so I feel like I’m getting a good exfoliation, but the scrubbies are small and gentle enough that I don’t feel like I’m using liquid sandpaper on my face. The texture of the liquid part of the product is also a nice cream/gel combo, so it washes off easily without leaving residue. Plus, it has salicylic acid in!
So, we’ve precleansed, we’ve actually cleansed, and now it’s time for toning.

On me, this acts a pretty gentle toner, but it does contain glycolic acid so you do get that bit extra of exfoliation, which I particularly enjoy during the summer when my oils in my skin go into overdrive.
Moving on from daily use products, is this weekly treat for the senses. The Pur Minerals Wine Exfoliating Mask

I’ve previously extolled the deliciousness of this weekly treat during my 10 days of cruelty free favorites challenge. Having used up this jar, I’m happy to say I have a backup of this as well!
Last, but not least, the first makeup product to hit my Empties series.

I’m trying to work my way through my open tubes of mascara, so I can try out some news ones without feeling too guilty. I was happy to try this particular one because it really seems to have become the darling of the interweb. My opinion, it’s a fine mascara, particularly if you use 2 coats. However, I much prefer my Too Faced Lashgasm, which gets me fabulous length and separation with just one coat. You can see for yourself in my lash loves post. If you’re reading, Too Faced, please stay cruelty-free so I can keep buying that stuff!
That’s it for this round of empties! If you’ve used any of these, let me know your thoughts… 🙂
*These are only my opinions, formed through my personal experience as a consumer. I am not a medical doctor, an aesthetician, or a health/beauty professional. There is no guarantee what effect, positive or negative, these products may have on anyone else.
**All products were purchased by me from brands that, to the best of my knowledge, are cruelty-free.
