Cruelty-free color challenge: Beauty, for Good’s very first Instagram Collaboration!

As some of you may know, Beauty, for good is also on Instagram.  I’m collaborating with the outstanding IDoItforBunnies on a #crueltyfreecoloroftheday!  We’ve chosen 7 colors and each day for the next week we’ll be featuring one color in a cruelty-free look.  I decided it was too much fun not to share on the blog too! We’d love as many cruelty-free blogger/vlogger/Instagrammers to participate as possible, so please consider yourself invited into the challenge if you’d like to join.  Be sure to use our tag so we can find you, #crueltyfreecoloroftheday

Day 1: Red

I decided to celebrate day ‘red’ with a bold lip.  You know I love a bold lip, and there is nothing more bold, yet more elegant, than a classic red.  I decided to pair it with a lashy, pale champagne eye and a peachy pink blush.

I went with Milani Matte Confident for the lip.  It’s a gorgeous color, and a particularly easy red to apply.  I completed the look with some cruelty-free faves that are lovely themselves, while allowing the lip to be the star.

For an alternative look, I added a bit of clear gloss over the top.  As you can see, you need to be sure to clean up your edges, as apparently, gloss tends to move the lipstick a bit 😉

Stay tuned for tomorrow’s color… navy blue!
