A huge thank you to the lovely Mirror the Love for nominating me for The Beauty Blogger Award!  It’s so fun to be nominated for these awards, particularly because I always end up discovering more fabulous bloggers to follow.

Mirror the Love’s questions for me

1. Any blogging regrets?

I don’t know that I’ve posted content that I regret, that said, improving the look of my photos is an ongoing mission.

2. Biggest beauty trend regret?

Well, the height (no pun intended) of the huge hair trend happened when I was in jr. high (a.k.a. middle school).  I regret how long it took me to figure out that my curly hair was NEVER going to look the same as my straight-haired friends all teased and sprayed to the skies above.  Not cute.

3. One product you think everyone should have?

Whatever makes you feel fabulous.  For me, it would be dark lipstick, mascara, and some 4-inch heels!

4. If you were creating your own beauty line, what would you call it?

Ooooo, good question!  I’d have to go either with Beauty for Good (for obvious reasons) or Maggie (for my dog).

5. Have you ever had a beauty “disaster” while doing someone else’s make-up?

I’m sure my friends and relatives would be happy to report, I’ve never really done anyone else’s makeup.  A fool-proof way to avoid just such disasters!

6. Bold eyes, bold lips or both?

Lips for sure, though still plenty of mascara.  Actually, unless I’m going to be out at a restaurant or bar, in which case there’s not much point in making your mouth the focal point of the look.  I can’t have anything interfering with my food and drink 😉

7. What has been your biggest life lesson so far? (taken from a question asked to me!)

Another toughie.  I’m not sure if this is the biggest life lesson I’ve learned so far, but just today I was thinking about how I’ve gotten better at not acting rashly, just to make myself feel better in the moment for having done something.  So much easier to not do, than to undo, a potential mistake.

8. Favourite music video make-up?

Um.  Well.  The last time I watched a music video may have been in late ‘90s…. if I can sub in favorite TV show makeup look, I’d have to go with that worn by the incomparable Miss Phryne Fisher in Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries.

9. What is your favourite make-up remover?

Not sure whether this technically counts as a makeup remover, but I always use Yes to Tomatoes Blemish Clearing Facial Wipes to remove makeup before washing my face.

10. What is one product you just can’t get the hang of? Or if that’s not applicable, that you cannot stand to use?

Let’s just say that winged liquid liner is not my friend.
