Desert island (cruelty-free) beauty items!

Maggie at Sunset Beach

Oftentimes, as I’m pawing through my over-large stash of beauty products trying to whittle down a day’s worth of look, I have a bit of a Gilligan’s Island moment, pondering what among my stash qualifies as marooned-worthy.  So, in honor of the spring that has yet to be sprung, I’ve decided to cast my votes for my top desert island beauty items (dog and sunscreen not included).

2nd runner up…Corrector/concealer.  Multitasking ability was key to the voting process.  A corrector/concealer with the right ingredients can not only conceal dark circles and spots/blemishes, but also heal and moisturize!

1st runner up… Colored lip balm- This was a tough call, with concealer running neck and neck for this spot.  But ultimately, I decided that a well moisturized, slightly tinted mouth was not only key to beautifying, but also to keeping my lips in top shape for smooching that dog.

and the WINNER is … Eyelash curlers- If you’ve visited beautyforgood.net before, you may have noticed that I’m a bit obsessed with eyelashes (check out my entire post just about lashes).  And with good reason.  I can’t think of anything that lifts and beautifies like some well-curled lashes.

What are your desert island beauty picks?

*These are only my opinions, formed through my personal experience as a consumer.  I am not a medical doctor, an aesthetician, or a health/beauty professional.  There is no guarantee what effect, positive or negative, these products may have on anyone else.

**All products were purchased by me from brands that, to the best of my knowledge, are cruelty-free.
