I’m not sure whether I’ve mentioned this before, but fall has always been my favorite season. I was that nerdy kid who was bored by the middle of August and wanted to get back to school. Also, one of the joys of growing up on the east coast of the U.S. is that you get to experience a little bit of everything. There is nothing like that first crisp fall day, when you can smell the leaves people are burning and see those same firelike colors in the trees. It also doesn’t hurt that October is my birthday month, and that I love pumpkin anything.
Suffice it say, I’ve been dying to start pulling out my fall looks and I really like how this first one came out, built around the rusty brown and sagey green in Makeup Geek’s duochrome shadow in Havoc.
I started with a wash of Havoc all over the lid, blended up into the crease. I patted on a bit extra with my finger to get as much of the green reflects showing as possible. I wanted to play up that green a bit more, so I smudged Pixi Beauty eyeliner in SageGold into my lower lash line.
Then, I used Shimma Shimma as both a brow and cheek highlight (gotta love a good multi-tasker) and followed up with a light dusting of the warm, but not brassy, Awakening Rose blush from Milani.
Last but not least, a swipe of Colour Pop Lippie Stick in Lady, which I thought played really nicely off of the rusty tones in the eye look.
Hope you’ve enjoyed, stay tuned for more fall looks coming soon 🍁🍂🍃!
