Cruelty-free birthday haul vol. 1: Pur Minerals!

October has always been my favorite month, not least of which reason being that it’s my birthday month.  Yes, that’s right, the whole month 😉  I’ve given myself permission to take advantage of the various b’day discount codes and other offers and I thought I’d share my various mini-hauls with you all 🙂

First up is my haul from Pur Minerals.  Their b’day offer included 20% off + a free gift + free shipping.  Not too shabby and just in time to try out their new Eye Polishes, among other goodies, of course.

The Eye Polish I’ve been salivating over since I first saw them was, of course, the burgundy one.  It did not disappoint.  I’m thinking this one will be gorgeous all by itself!

I also fell for the champagne one, thinking it would be great in it’s own right and also as a base for other shadows.

I used my finger to swatch these, but each one also came with this handy applicator.

I’d also been wanting to try the new Lip Lure Hydrating Lip Lacquers and decided to go for the one in Mystic.  Very full color and lovely shine!

I’d planned to stop there, but then saw this newbie that I couldn’t resist.  I’m always trying to figure out another way to chisel out these cheek bones a bit, so thought I’d give this a go… the Cameo Contour Stick, a double-ended foundation stick.  A paler side for catching the light and a darker side to deepen up those shadows.  Plus, it comes with a beauty sponge to blend it all out.
