BRANDS YOU MAY BE MISSING OUT ON: MUA Brands VOL 1- Viseart!

I’ve written once before about Viseart, “Viz-eee-art”,  which I first tried at IMATS NYC last spring.  Their Sultry Muse palette has some of my fave metallic shades!

I think the hesitation for some people in diving into Viseart, which is known for exceptional quality, is two-fold.

  1. It’s spendy!  Their 12-pan eyeshadow palettes retail for $80.
  2. Their original eyeshadow palettes, the 12-pan, were either or matte or all shimmer/metallic, and many people prefer palettes with a mix of finishes for versatility purposes.

The brand has recently launched what I think is a really nice way to take a dip into the brand, their new Petit PRO Palette.

It’s a rather adorable, sturdy little credit-card sized palette, which opens to reveal 8 shadows (protected by a plastic cap) and a little mirror.

Looking at how the pans are situated in the palette makes me think they’re gearing up to sell replacement plans!!  Great idea… but be careful, they’re a little wobbly in there.

The palette contains 4 mattes and 4 shimmer shades.  It only comes in one color scheme right now, but I think it’s a really versatile selection of colors.  The mattes live up to all the hype I’ve heard about Viseart mattes, extremely pigmented and creamy.  And, the shimmers are equally pigmented and soft, without being crumbly.

I recently did a look with the palette, trying to incorporate as many of the shadows as possible, 3 of the 4 mattes blended out on the lid and the a glint of the pinkish shimmer on the lower lashline.

I was seriously impressed by the blendability of these shades, which managed to be seamless without turning into one muddy mess of shade.  And they stayed that way ’til I took them off several hours later.

The palette is available for $30 online at MuseBeauty.Pro and Sephora!

Let me know what you think if you try it 🙂
