Having seen substantial success with their bite-sized eyeshadow palettes, ELF recently launched face duos in the same format. Portable, adorable, and affordable at just $3 each, there’s something for (just about) everyone.

Swatches first! For each duo, I’ve paired fingertip swatches with the palette and included a blended out swatch on my hand, on which I dusted a bit of my Honeybee Gardens powder foundation in, Avignon, to even out some of the redness in my skin as I would on my face.
Peach seems to be the color in the line with the best shade spectrum, moving from fair to mid-tone, so we’ll start there.
Cantaloupe

White Peach

Spiced Apple

Next up, the in between peachy-pink coral and nude(ish) shades.
Guava

Watermelon

Lychee

Now for the one and only truly cool(ish)-toned seeming option…
Pomegranate

And, lastly, the bronzey-tone
Coconut

Now for my thoughts…
Formula-wise, I’d say the highlight is, well, the highlighters. They’re smooth and creamy, and have a nice sheen without noticeable chunky glitter. Whether they’ll be subtle or from-space glow-wise I think will be dependent on a) your skin tone (for me, the only one that’s really light enough is the highlighter in the Cantaloupe palette) and b) how heavy handed you are when you apply them.
The blushes are a bit on the dryer side, more powdery side, say compared to the ELF primer-infused blush/bronzer formula, but I actually don’t mind that. I prefer a very light blush, so this kind of formula is nice for me as I don’t have to be surgically-careful with how I apply them. They are also definitely buildable. Some seem entirely matte, whereas others have a very subtle sheen/shimmer.
I guess my only real complaint is a purely selfish one. I can’t wear peachy/orange tones and even shades that look neutral on others quickly oxidize on me. So, I’m really hoping they come out with more cool-toned mauves and pinks for fairer skin.
Hope this has been helpful! If you’ve tried these, please share your thoughts đŸ™‚
