I am quite the devotee of Pur Minerals, so perhaps you can imagine my glee when I found out they were putting out a new palette! My hot little hands clicked purchase within minutes of the palette going live on their site and it has just arrived (well, ok, it arrived yesterday). I wanted to share the scoop with you all ASAP 🙂
So, first some views of the palette itself. It comes with 8 eye shadows, a nice mix of shimmer, metallic/sparkle, and matte, and 3 face products, a bronzer, a blush, and a highlight. The palette also comes with a mascara and a lip gloss. Take note of the nice large mirror, is this thing travel-friendly or what? If it had come with a brush it’d be perfect!
Now for the swatchy goodness. I was immediately impressed with how pigmented all of the products were, eye shadows and face products. The good news is that, as you’ll see in the FOTD shots, the face products can be sheered out or packed on so you can have nice control of the level of intensity. I’d imagine that also makes it workable for a variety of skin tones. As a pale gal, I sheered out the blush, but ladies with darker skin tones could achieve a deeper color pretty easily.

The look I went for was kinda vampy. Rarely can I resist the opportunity to mix a champagne gold with a nice deep eggplant purple. I used Flash from the inner corner half way across the lid, and then Photobomb from the outer corner in until they met at the middle. I used a little extra Flash over the top of the inner edge of Photobomb to help blend them together. Then, I used Fade as a transition color and Exposure as my brow bone highlight. The powders did kick up a fair bit of product when I dipped my brushes in, but that didn’t seem to translate to much in the way of fall-out, even with Photobomb. And, of course, a coat of the Big Look mascara that comes with the palette!
I am dying to try Filter next time, as I suspect it will be a marvelous one shadow wonder!
For my base, I actually used another Pur Minerals product that is new to me, the Liquid Veil 4-in-1 Spray Foundation. My shade is Light.

Left: 1 spray, Right: sheered out

Then, it was on to a sheer wash (a light touch is definitely needed) of Savvy Blush and a touch of Afterflow Illuminating Powder along my cheek bones and cupid’s bow 🙂
Then, a coat of the lovely, happily stickiness-free lip gloss in Exposed.
Since so many Pur Minerals products have attained Holy Grail status here at beautyforgood.net, I was able to work in the few other products I needed keeping mostly to this brand. Including using my all-time-favorite spot concealer, the Disappearing Act concealer, and a new fave, the Wake Up Brow Hello Bright Eyes along my inner rim.

Well, I hope you all enjoyed this bonus post! I just couldn’t wait ’til Tuesday to post this…
Happy Sunday and please let me know if you get the Love Your Selfie Palette and what you think of it!
