#Flashbackfriday vol 2: More cruelty-free follow-ups!

Time for more cruelty-free follow-ups.  In today’s post we’ll be flashing back to one of my earliest posts and then to a more recent post.

Many moons ago, when beautyforgood was brand new, I posted on one of my favorite topics, eyelashes!  I’m completely obsessed with all things that will make my lashes longer and fuller and I shared some of my top tips and mascara faves.  I thought I’d follow up those recommendations with some additional mascara loves.

First up, one of my all time favorite drugstore items, Jordana’s Best Lash Extreme Voluming Mascara.  The name says it all, this product gives me amazing volume without weighing down the curl of the lashes.  Plus, it’s like$3.  I mean, come on, what’s better than that?

Next up, is Pur Minerals Big Look Mascara.  I discovered this when it came as part of my Love My Selfie Palette, but you can bet your bottom dollar I’ll be repurchasing this bad boy on it’s own.  I ❤ the flirty length it gives, and the argan oil makes me feel like I’m giving my lashes a little spa treatment.

My other flashback is to one of the most popular posts I’ve done, I guess it helps to pay a little bit of attention to the beauty trends 😉   My post about matte lip colors.  Now, this one isn’t exactly super-affordable, but if you poke around a bit, you can find very good coupon codes.  I first learned about this line on Logical Harmony; it’s the Ofra Long Lasting Liquid Lipsticks.  Tashina mentions a good place to look for a coupon code, so be sure to check out her YouTube video for more details!

I loved the first 3 I bought so much, I went ahead and ordered 4 more!  The forumula is quite moussey compared to other liquid lipsticks I’ve tried.  The great thing about that is that it wears extremely comfortably and applies like a dream. I do think that part of this is that the dry down time for this formula seems to me to be longer than other liquid lipstick formulas I’ve tried.  I’ve been impressed by how true to color and opaque all of the shades I’ve tried have been, and I’ve tried a spectrum, very light nudes to darkest vampy.  And here they are…
