I’ve been on a bit of low-buy recently, but I decided to make an exception to sample some of ELF’s latest lip product launches 😉
My first picks were a couple of the new Satin Lipsticks. I went with Touch of Blush and Touch of Berry. They apply and wear in a quite balmy way, which I enjoy. They do have a scent, reminiscent of the ELF Lip Exfoliator, but no discernible taste. They give a nice amount of pigment and they’re true to color on the lips. I don’t usually care about this either way, but I do think the packaging is quite pretty too.

I also purchased all 3 of the Lip & Cheek Duo Stix, in Pink, Natural, and Rose.
Each pencil has a matte end and a shimmer end. I could definitely see doing an ombre look with the Natural or the Rose Stix, the Pink has a bit more distinctiveness between the two shades in the stick.

As with the Satin Lipsticks, they apply true to color onto the lips. Texture-wise, I experience them as being on the drier end of the creaminess spectrum, perhaps since they’re trying to be appropriate for both cheeks and lips… They certainly didn’t feel dehydrating on the lips, but they’re not as creamy and moisturizing feeling as my NudeStix Lip + Cheek Pencil in Mystic/Whisper.
I haven’t tried them on my cheeks, but I’m guessing I’ll need to build them up on my finger and then blend them on from there, as opposed to going straight from the pencil onto my face. I think they’re all pretty, though the matte shades may be a bit bold as cheek colors for my pale skin… I think they’d look stunning on ladies with darker complexions than mine.
Hope this has been useful; happy weekend, everyone!
