Cruelty-free Empties: Vol. 5!

It’s that time again, and alas, still no color cosmetics to report on, but I do have two bases and a concealer to share, plus some skin- and hair-care products.

I have to say, this round of empties really could double as a favorites post.  I am seriously devoted to each and every one of these products.  I’ve already dug into my backups on all of them 🙂

First up, a first for beautyforgood.net.  Hair care!  I came back to this product this fall, after a several years long hiatus, and I can’t for the life of me remember why I ever stopped using it.  It’s Wen’s Cleansing Conditioner in Fall Ginger Pumpkin!

If you’re anything like me, i.e., obsessed with all things pumpkin, this will be a treat for all (ok, almost all) of your senses.  I stocked up back when it came up for the fall season.  I’m kind of a whiner when it comes to washing my hair.  It’s curly, and when I wash and condition it, I have spend WAY too much time on detangling.  This stuff actually makes me look forward to the whole process!  Yes, it’s a bit labor intensive to get the best result, dividing your hair into sections and making sure the hair is really wet before you start pulling the product through.  But, it’s a 2-in-1 on the shampoo + conditioner front, and my hair looks and feels soft, clean and conditioned.  Bonus, it turns hair washing day into  spa + aromatherapy day.

Next, two base products that have previously been featured as faves and continue to stand the test of time and comparison to other bases.  My Hourglass Illusion Hyaluronic Skin Tint (my shade is shell) and my Ellis Faas Skin Base (in S102).  In my opinion, there are few bases better for natural coverage, lovely texture, and great skin tone match.

And, for any particularly stubborn marks or spots, my holy grail concealer is definitely my Pur Minerals 4-in-1 Disappearing Act Concealer (my shade is light).  You may recall it being one of my desert island beauty items, and it’s still at the top of that list.

Last but not least, a product I’ve been using in hopes of getting to the point where I need less base and concealer… my Murad Time Release Acne Cleaner.  It’s too soon to tell any long term results, but I’ll keep you posted.

Alrighty, that’s me finished with another round of empties!  Have a fabulous weekend, everyone

**All products were purchased by me from brands that, to the best of my knowledge, are cruelty-free.
