Well, they’ve done it again! One of this year’s colors of the year is another one I might actually have a chance of wearing well. I decided, since the coffers are a bit bare since my Christmas shopping bonanza, that I’d do a little #ShopMyStash to see whether I had any goodies I could use to sport this trend rather than rushing out to buy more…
This year’s color(s) is actually a mix of a pale pink shade, Rose Quartz, with a muted pale blue, Serenity. But, I very rarely wear pale blue, so I figured I focus on the pink.

At first, I was able to pull a surprising number of items from my stash, but on further examination, I realized that the Pantone Rose Quartz really has quite a bit of blue in it, so much of what I had was either too warm or too dark. But I was able to find a few that I think fit the bill. Maybe you already have them too!
Eyes
First up in Brija Cosmetics gorgeous Premonition. Lovely in the jar, but honestly, that doesn’t do justice to how it looks on the eye!
Next up, one of my fave formulas, Makeup Geek’s foiled shadows, in the shade Whimsical.
For an equally glam, but slightly different take, there’s Colourpop’s Supershock Eye Shadow in, Koosh.
And last but least for eyes, one I bet many of you already have tucked away somewhere, the pale pink shade in the Wet n’ Wild Lust palette.
Oh wait, I forgot my waterline liners, two of which I think work really well for this shade. The pale liner in one end of the Pur Minerals Wake-up Brows and Sigma Beauty’s Inner Rim Brightener in Final Touch.

Cheeks
Perhaps not surprisingly, it was easiest to find cheek and highlight colors in this shade. So, here we go…
First up, a true and long-time love, Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Mood Light.
Also from Hourglass, the Ambient Lighting Blush in Ethereal Glow fits the bill quite nicely.
Then, on the more economical end of the spectrum, is the pink highlighting shade from the new ELF Illuminating Palette.
And finally, another shade that I think, depending on your skin tone, can play a dual role as highlight and blush, Makeup Geek First Love.
Lips
This category was surprisingly tough for me in terms of finding the right shades, but I was able to find a few in my nude lip stash. ELF’s Matte Lip Color in Natural, Essence Long-lasting Lipstick in Nude Love, and Ofra Cosmetic’s Angeles.
Well, I hope this has given you some ideas of what you might already have in your own stash! Let me know if I’ve missed any good one 🙂
P.S. I did it! I found one that might match Serenity. It’s Brija Cosmetics, Freeze. What do you think?
